Organic Vegan Butter

In 2010 we were introduced to Madame Ceclia Boreche Ewuntomah, the founder of Morning Star Integrated School (MSIS). Her vision was to set up an independent school that could provide subsidised education to the marginalised communities of Tamale, specifically young women unable to qualify for higher level employment. Since then, Madame Cecilia retired from education and her family continued to build, with local and international support. They established a campus outside of the city and built a school farm to support the students and bring additional income to the school. We worked with them to find solutions towards internal revenue streams until Shea farming became a viable solution, given the topology of the area. With a concerted effort to achieve Eco-cert organic certification, the farm expanded to syndicate land and labour, producing one of the purist Shea products available on the market. With no impurities a legacy of Shea in traditional Ghanain cooking, we started work with the farm to produce a food grade product or vegan butter, with no additives, animal products or threats to the biodiversity and chemicals used in production – basically perfect.

Organic Vegan Butter

Organic foods often have more beneficial nutrients, such as antioxidants, than their conventionally-grown counterparts and people with allergies to foods, chemicals, or preservatives may find their symptoms lessen or go away when they eat only organic foods. Organic produce contains fewer pesticides. Organic products reduce public health risks to farm workers, their families, and consumers by minimizing their exposure to toxic and persistent chemicals on the farm and in food, the soil in which they work and play, the air they breathe, and the water they drink. Children are especially vulnerable to pesticides.
